A traditional symbol of the holiday season for nearly 200 years, the poinsettia was discovered in Mexico by Joel Roberts Poinsett who was the US Ambassador at the time. Poinsett noticed the poinsettia by the side of a road in Southern Mexico. Fascinated by the leaves, Poinsett brought it back to his greenhouse in South Carolina. The Poinsettia quickly spread in popularity at Christmas time for its vibrant red flowers and dark green leaves. Hooks and Lattice has a special polyblend style poinsettia that is rated for outdoor use, and has five large blooms on them. These poinsettias will look great time and again, and are UV protected to ensure many merry Christmases in the future. Stands 18" in height, and comes UNPOTTED.
